Howdy one an all ! It's been far too long since I put my fingers to the 3D keyboard, but having had some spare time since coming back, I've put together this little piece. I went back an fixed up some issues with the texturing and lighting, so I do hope you enjoy this coming home special.Cap finally got a decent pair of duds and a few tweaks, Spidey's been revamped, Iron Man upgraded from the Mark 3 armor to the Mark 7. The others had minor alterations. The backgroundd is a hodgepodge of a variety of old assets I have. My apologies , as I have no idea who made them. Big kudos to Yuri again for his modelling. ;)

Recently, I've been on an Enterprise binge. Say what you will about the story quality, but in my opinion, the pre-federation earth ships just have an awesome look to them. Sadly, there's not many of these ships, so I started tinkering about with my own designs.

This is also a bit of a reimagning, inspired by Masao Okazaki's Starfleet Museum. There will be long walls of text, and departures from on-screen canon.

*ahem* without further ado, a blocked in Starfleet Corvette.

The nose of the ship, with two crew-analogs in the background. The nose will feature a deflector dish, similar to the one carried by Enterprise.

The tail is the most roughed-in area at the moment. I'm flipping between more rocket-like engines, or something closer to normal impulse drive. In any case, the impulse engines take their feed off the main fusion reactor.

- - - Fluff time!
A tiny, fusion powered ship, the Delta class was among the first to mount Dr. Archer's "Wildcat" engine. Unlike the enormous ring-shaped warp coils of the Vulcan fleet, Cochrane's original nacelles pumped highly energized plasma around a series of much tighter coils. While much more energy-efficient, allowing the Pheonix to break the light barrier using only a tiny fission reactor, it produced a dangerously unstable warp field. Even with advanced computer monitoring, Cochrane's engines could only manage warp one point eight, and then only though sheer brute force.

Archer's Wildcat engine solved the instability with two staging coils, the famous "Catamarans" where energized plasma is cajoled into behaving properly, allowing higher speeds with far less energy consumption. The Delta class, despite their diminutive size, can cruise at warp two point five, and have been known to punch it up to warp two-nine for brief periods.

I’m going to be starting an online training program that is One-on-One Training with a focus on 3D Character Modeling.

I’ve always been a big fan of the “Butts in Seats” method of training over videos and books which is why I have spent so many years in the class room. I tried to come up with the best way to mimic a classroom type training setting and feel that online video conferencing with shared screens is the best option.

I have trained hundreds of students to become professional animators at major studios, such as Rhythm and Hues, Digital Domain, Weta Digital, Monolith, Nickelodeon, Pixomondo, EA Sports, and many other top studios. Not everyone can take a year off to go to school or move to Florida for training but almost everyone has a decent internet connection and technology allows us to work almost as if we are in the same room.

No part of the training will be pre-recorded, scripted or edited and each “Class” will be limited to one student. The class will be a total of 20 hours broken up into 10 two hour sessions. The training will move at the pace of the student and the scheduling of the sessions can be very flexible. Classes will be on a first come first serve basis and will be limited to two students each month.

I’ll be offering a discount to the first batch of the students so stay tuned for more details.

I’m extremely excited about this concept and will be putting all of the pieces together to make this available soon.

Hi everyone. I hope this is ok, I'll be creating a few renders over the next few weeks while I get to grips with this new renderer and didn't want to start a new thread each time I post something. Below are a few try outs so far. Gordon's far better at this than I am so I'm hoping he will stop by and let me know what I'm doing wrong (hint :-) )

The drone and mini-sub are my models but the Dauntless is by Jose Antonio Peñas.

The Legion poster is just a play around with the Stardriver mech which is available here.

Howdy Folks,

Well after a 4 month scouting mission back in Australia and a 3 month work contract, I decided there are just too many good reasons to stay in Sweden. It was great to be back n Oz and I sure had a hoot of a time. I guess you can say Ive changed and Sydney has moved on. It sure made me appreciate how much Olga and I have here in Sweden. Who knows what the future may bring. Sydney will always be there. On a higher note, Olga an got married finally:D two weeks ago, so we are pretty happy indeed. We are off to Santorini in a couple of weeks for our honeymoon. woooo hoooo ! If time permits, I may just post an update on my Avengers project later today. Must say, its great to be back and also great to see so much quality work from you all. Catch ya soon ;)

Ok as I mentioned in D-Jota thread about putting an interior into the Galaxy model. Here is what I did to the Galaxy Dreadnought, this was going to be used in a fan Film I was thinking of making but scrapped that idea for my own idea, and I won't have to worry about getting CBS or Paramount after me. lol

Here is the ol' girl again the U.S.S. Venture, you'll notice that on the primary hull the impulse exhaust ports are larger, it's larger to expel the heat much faster so a stronger impulse field can be generated. Also in this ship the M/AM core has been replaced with a Federation version of the forced singularity core, there are two on this ship, one in the Engineering hull, and a secondary core in the primary hull incase the main one fails or saucer separation.

Think you can make her look good D-Jota, like you did with the original Galaxy model? :)
